BLIK SK, formerly known as VIAMO, is consistently expanding its operations in the Slovak market. Following the expansion of its collaboration with Tatra banka, the company is strengthening its ties with another dynamic bank operating in Slovakia. The goal of the partnership with mBank SK is the full integration of BLIK into the mobile application of this institution, providing customers with secure and convenient mobile payments for online shopping.
Worldline (Euronext: WLN), the global leader in payment services, in continued cooperation with BLIK, one of Poland’s most popular mobile payment systems, is rolling out for its clients the functionality of BLIK code payment on Worldline Tap on Mobile app. Under the partnership, businesses using Tap on Mobile on their mobile terminals will be able to accept payments with a BLIK code.
BLIK, a modern payment system from Poland, Aion Bank and Vodeno, a provider of advanced financial technology, have formed a strategic partnership. This cooperation will enable both Vodeno and Aion Bank, which participates in the BLIK system as an issuer, to offer fintechs, banks and other financial institutions access to BLIK services.
BLIK SK, formerly VIAMO, has expanded its cooperation with one of the largest banks in Slovakia – Tatra banka. Soon, users of the Tatra Banka VIAMO mobile app will be able to make purchases online even faster, more conveniently, and securely thanks to the new service. Tatra Banka will make the BLIK payment method available to its clients in the coming months.
Google has partnered with BLIK, the innovative payment system in Poland, to streamline digital transactions on Google Play Store for Polish people. As of today, users can make purchases on the platform using a BLIK code via a banking app of their choice.
In Q1 2024, BLIK recorded a significant increase of nearly 40% in the number of transactions compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 518 million operations worth PLN 73.9 billion (17.1 bn EUR). At the end of March, 16.3 million users were actively using the solution. In the analysed period, the number of BLIK phone transfers grew most dynamically - Poles used this service as many as 132 million times. A clear increase was also recorded in the POS channel. Between January and March, users made more than 105 million transactions in conventional stores and service points, i.e. almost 50% more than in the previous year.
From January to December 2023, the users of BLIK made almost 1.8 billion transactions of the value close to a quarter of a trillion PLN, while the number of transactions made since the system started has exceeded 4.5 billion of the value of PLN 614.4 billion. Over the past twelve months, the highest number of transactions was recorded in e-commerce – as many as 921 million, which means that every second BLIK transaction is carried out in this channel. In 2023, BLIK phone transfers were the second most popular BLIK service that, at the same time, recorded the most dynamic growth. Users made more than 415 million of these transactions, i.e. by 71% more than one year ago. At the end of December 2023, BLIK was actively used by 15.8 million people on a regular basis.
